The Dude Hates Cancer's Buffalo Campaign Kicks Off On March 29, 2012

Inaugural campaign begins with screening of The Big Lebowski, Lebowski costume contest, and opening of team registration

The Dude Hates Cancer has officially arrived in Buffalo.

After six great years of raising money to fight cancer in Philadelphia, The Dude Hates Cancer has branched out to the home city of its founder with aspirations of raising even more money for this important cause. For those unfamiliar with the campaign, The Dude Hates Cancer raises money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and each year features a series of organizer- and participant-driven fundraisers, culminating with a festive bowling tournament that would make The Dude proud.

The Kickoff marks the beginning of the campaign and is the first time for teams to sign up to be a part of The Dude Hates Cancer. Besides bowling in the campaign's finale, teams are encouraged to take part in The Dude's fundraising competition, where both individuals and teams are rewarded with terrific prizes for their fundraising efforts.

This year's campaign will open on March 29, 2012, with a screening of The Big Lebowski at The Amherst Dipson Theatre. We'll be awarding prizes for best costumes in our Big Lebowski Costume Contest (participation is optional, of course), and we'll also begin signing up teams for the campaign. Here are the important details:
